We Need Buddies!

What is a Buddy? Buddies make playing possible!

Interested in becoming a buddy?

Please watch this short video that shows what they do during a game.

Games are played at 6pm or 7pm on

Monday and Tuesday nights

Our players can not play the game of baseball without the help of volunteer buddies.

To be a buddy you are only committing to one night during the season for 2 hours.

Buddy groups can be any sport ball teams from middle school, high school, college or club, church groups, businesses or community organizations.

A buddy group for one team will be 10-12 people or if you have a group big enough to cover both teams that would be about 20-24 people.

Buddy groups are a great way for your organization to build relationships with your local community - and we give our Buddy sponsors much love on social media to thank them for their participation!

The buddy will be assigned to a player. Assist your player by holding their hand, pushing their wheelchair or leading them in their power chair. Ensure that your player is safe at all times and gets a hit, circles the bases, and scores a run each inning. Assist the player with getting the ball and direct them where to throw it. Ensure that the player has fun. Give player lots of encouragement, clapping, and cheering. Focus on the player at all times. Arrive at field 20 minutes before game time. Wear tennis shoes or soft bottom shoes. No food, drinks or gum in the dugouts or on the field. No cell phones out on the field.
